The tile’s backing is made using 85% post consumer recycle material – material that would other wise be sent to the world's land fills. The backing is made with no dangerous chemicals so it saves the environment from harsh production gases. Nexterra backing is Green-e renewable resource certified and is powered by 100% renewable resources. Nexterra requires no curing oven or water so it produces no energy or water waste. Nexterra is completely PVC-free and the recycled content used to produce this material is plastic and polyester-based (PET) bottles and glass. A minimum of 2 million pounds of glass is recycled annually into their tile backing. Recycling conserves our natural resources, saves landfill space, conserves energy, and reduces water pollution, air pollution and the green house gas emissions that cause global warming...and it creates jobs.

Nexterra is lighter than conventional carpet tile, offers exceptional performances in dry/wet tuft bind retention, is dimensionally stable and withstands heavy foot traffic.
